SonicPanel has a built-in Billing & Automation (API). The website uses it to create radio accounts the moment an order is paid, and to suspend, unsuspend, upgrade or terminate them later. Both the root user and resellers can use it.
Step 1 — Copy your API details
- Log in to SonicPanel at
https://your-server:2087. - Open Server Configuration › Billing & Automation (API).
- Copy the API Username and the API Key (Password).
Step 2 — Create radio packages
In SonicPanel open Radios & Accounts › Add Radio Package and create your packages (for example shoutcast50, icecast250). The package decides listeners, bitrate, AutoDJ storage and server type.
Step 3 — Add the server in the admin panel
- Hosting & Domains › Servers › Add SonicPanel.
- Hostname:
sonic01.yourdomain.com, Port 2087, HTTPS on. - API username = the API Username from step 1, API key = the API Key.
- Turn Verify SSL certificate off if SonicPanel uses a self-signed certificate.
- Save and click Test connection — you will see your package names.
Step 4 — Import packages as plans
Click Import packages, tick the packages and choose Radio Streaming. Set prices in Hosting Plans. Customers can now order on /hosting?type=radio.
Good to know
- The API address is
https://your-server:2087/api/sonic_api.php— the website builds it automatically. - Brute-force protection: 5 wrong API keys within an hour block your website's IP for one hour. If that happens, wait or delete
/usr/local/sonicpanel/blockedon the server (root SSH). - Leave SonicPanel also sends its own welcome email off so the customer receives only your branded email.
- Upgrades and downgrades use SonicPanel's
changecommand; password resets usechangepass.
